Biogeography Series- Part-I: Adaptation

Adaptation is the bulwark of evolution of life on earth. This biological concept has spread its influence on many other sciences and social science disciplines. It is examined herein with respect to its development types and other conceptual underpinnings from theoretical beginnings to its observations in plant and animal species in various life zones of the Earth. The human aspect of adaptation to various environments is dealt in Part II.
