Biology and Life-fecundity tables of Leaf miner Aproerema modicella

About The Book

A laboratory study on life-fecundity tables of a pest illustrates the relationship of development and survival of the life-stages under ideal laboratory conditions (Birch 1948 and Howe 1953). It is a well documented fact that the food plants play a vital role in development survival and reproductive potential of the insect. The plant characters which interfere with normal physiology or feeding of the insect on them affect adversely the biology of the pest (Painter 1951). The present investigations on the biology and life-fecundity tables of A. modicella were therefore studied on three different host plants viz. soybean groundnut and a weed bawachi under laboratory conditions with the following objectives. biology of Aproaerema modicella (Deventer) on different host plants under laboratory conditions. larval instars of Aproaerema modicella (Deventer) on different host plants. biometrics of Aproaerema modicella (Deventer) on different host plants. life-fecundity tables of Aproaerema modicella (Deventer) on different host plants.
