The nymph passed through four distinct instars before attaining the adult stage. all nymphal instar were wingless brown to dark black in colour and very active. The apterate adults were completely black in colour with shining in appearance. The aphid A. craccivora on fenugreek was first appeared during January and remained active up to February with the peak population during last week of January. Bio-pesticides viz; azadirachtin 0.15 EC 0.0006% neem oil 0.3% and garlic bulb extract 3% were found most effective in suppressing the aphid population. Insecticides flonicamid 0.015% and acephate + imidacloprid 0.052% were found most effective in suppressing the aphid population followed by thiamethoxam 0.01%.
