Biology of the African Big Barb Labeobarbus intermedius (R.) from Lake

Very little published information is available on the biology and ecology of fish stocks in Lake Koka. Considering the current rate of expansion in fisheries landings from lake scientific information on the biology of the commercially important fish stocks is urgently needed for proper management purposes. Detailed study on the food and feeding habits of the fish covering all months of the year is necessary to have a full picture of the feeding habits of the fish.
