Not only it unites the conservative approach of dentistry with the esthetic restorative dentistry but also the physics chemistry mathematics and engineering in the development of principles that are important for the generation of synthetic materials.Biomimetic materials function as root canal sealer filling materials cements and root and crown repair material which possess features like strengthening the root following obturation good sealing ability enhanced biocompatibility and antibacterial properties which were the limitations of the traditional restorative materials.Thus in the near future it can be envisioned that there will be better alternatives in the field of restorative dentistry in the form of bioactive and biomimetic materials.
