Bionomics and Status of Goniozus nephantidis (Muesebeck)

Coconut black headed caterpillar O. arenosella Walker is one of the serious and endemic pests of coconut in India. To minimise the pest population Goniozus nephantidis (Muesebeck) is used as a larval parasitoid wordwide and proved an excellent biological strategy over chemical control at global level. This book throws light on status of coconut black headed caterpillar and Goniozus nephantidis in coconut belt of South Gujarat and also binomics aspect of this parasitoid on natural host Opisina arenosella Walker and laboratory host Corcyra cephalonica (Stainton).
