About The Book

About the Book: Recent advances in polymer research has led to the generation of high quality materials for various applications in day to day life. The synthesis of new functional graft copolymer and their nanocomposites has shown Optimization of grafting conditions for obtaining maximum yield of graft copolymers with improved properties. Biopolymer Nanocomposites: Synthesis Characterization and Applications includes Grafting and network formation has been carried out using different monomers such as aniline NN-dimethylacrylamide and 2-acrylamido-2-methylpropanesulfonic acid. Ammonium peroxodisulphate (APS) and NN’-methylene-bis-acrylamide (MBA) have been used as initiator and crosslinking agents respectively in the preparation of the graft copolymer networks. Developments in polymer nanocomposites and its various characterization techniques are highlighted in the book. About the Author: Dr. Sharanappa Chapi Assistant Professor in Physics Department & HOD of Basic Sciences B.V.V. Sangha’s Amruta Institute of Engineering & Management Sciences (AIEMS) Bidadi Bengaluru. He has more than nine years of experience in teaching and academic research. He has acquired M.Sc. in Physics (Condensed Matter Physics) from Karnatak University Dharwad. He worked as JRF/SRF from 2013 to 2016 and Ph.D. (Solid State Physics) from Mangalore University Mangalagangotri Mangalore. Till now he contributed more than forty journals articles in scientific journals fifty conference papers fifteen book chapters and performed the review services for about ten SCI journals. He is also the editorial board member of many international peer-review journals. His research interests include polymer electrolytes thin films nanomaterial’s etc. and the relative novel device applications in energy harvesting conversion and storage.
