Rai Wahid (Satish Prasad Rai) About the Author: Born on 10th July 1943 in Nai Basti Sitapur Uttar Pradesh Satish Prasad Rai was raised in a big educated middle-class household. After completing his primary education in Sitapur he moved to Lucknow with his family where he finished his secondary education. His keen interest in arts and literature led him to pursue a degree in Commercial Art from Lucknow College of Arts where he graduated as a topper. After completing his studies Satish moved to Delhi to start his work life. His mother tongue Hindi combined with his linguistic abilities in spoken Urdu which he acquired from his elders regional language Awadhi and Khadi boli became the foundation for his writing giving him a unique voice and style that set him apart and became foundation of this book.
