How it all StartedIt all started, or I guess you could say it did, on the last week ofsummer when most kids would be ending their vacations at the beach orgetting back home from visiting their relatives, and, of course, dreadingthe thought of the coming of the new school year. However, some arenot quite as lucky in that area as others are, like those who attended thesame “school” as the main character of this book. It was on that day that athirteen-year-old boy woke up and stared out of the window of his smallbleak room. His skin was a light brown almost caramel complexion, andhis hair was short and black, pressed down against his scalp. His eyes werea dark brown, with a ring of black edged around the Pupil. If you lookedclosely in the center of the darkness there was a small spark of goldenlight, barely noticeable, like staring at the heart of the Universe throughan infinite expanse of space.
