The character of Amanda O’Neal is back again with another captivating story. Some of the other characters from the first book are artfully included as well which helps to link the events of the past with the present. Devastated by the death of her beloved husband Shawn O’Neal her emotions are numb as she leaves everyone and everything she cares about in Tampa Bay to attempt to heal the huge void and confusion she feels. A sabbatical at Huntington Hills College in upper North Carolina is where Amanda temporarily lands.
