<p>Hank Mitchell a former mercenary gets five years hard time for stealing a tubful of women's underwear. He doesn't appeal his sentence because he wants to atone for all the blood he's spilled. Inspired by the novels of Genet Camus and the Marquis de Sade that he finds in the prison library and comforted by the love of his young cellmate Mitch finds peace in his captivity as he writes his own secret history-a saga of family deception sexual obsession and contract killing at the behest of Mitch's own brother-in-law. Set in the U.S. South America and moving to Europe as the story unfolds Mitch undergoes a major transformation but now his family wants him out of prison and back in the killing game. Mitch begins to wonder: has he been killing the wrong people? </p>
