<p>Lacy Wurks was nearly 18 when she ran away from home to get away from a bad situation that was about to get worse. Fortunately she e runs into a young woman names Susie. It took Susie a bit to coax Lacy to come home with her instead of walking on the highway to nowhere. Lacy agrees and goes with her. Still distrustful of people Lacy stays with Susie and her grandfather.He takes Lacy under his wing so to speak and puts her through trade school. Five years later Lacy has her own Handy woman service and travels the country by fixing rebuilding and repairing. One summer day she was in Elk Horn Wisconsin rebuilding a house when she was attacked and mauled by a creature she never saw. She barely survives. A month later she wakes up in a cornfield covered in blood and things get worse for her after that. Now two men are hunting for lacy one to kill her and one wants to make her his mate.
