Clarke's life was marked with much adversity and many challenges. From a tough upbringing to the throes of alcoholism Clarke persevered through determination and hard work to become a brilliant soulful player vocalist songwriter entertainer and producer. He left behind a rich legacy through the many great albums he produced that have endured the test of time and will continue to do so.
