About The Book

The main interest of this volume is to recognize the background main characteristics and works of the so-called Contemporary Historical Novel in Latin America in order to determine its main themes orientations and intentions within the general context of the continental reality of the last thirty years with particular emphasis on the relations between body and power. The interest presented by this theme results from the need to evidence the main dynamics and proposals around the fictionalization of the body and power in the current continental literature in works by authors such as Abel Posse Laura Restrepo Gabriel García Márquez Ignacio Solares Denzil Romero Gioconda Belli among others.
