Orthodontics is the specially where teeth are moved in the desired direction by the application of orthodontic force. Bonding brackets on to the teeth is the first and the most critical step in starting the orthodontic treatment. Orthodontic bonding is based on the mechanical interlocking of an adhesive to the irregularity in the enamel surface and to the mechanical interlocks found in the base of the orthodontic attachment.
