<p>Chiasmus is a form of poetry where ideas are expressed and then repeated in reverse order. Ancient Hebrew poetic writing is filled with chiasmus. For example the Old Testament has hundreds of chiasms. </p><p><br></p><p>A simple example of chiasmus is found in Matthew 23:12:</p><p><br></p><p><strong>A</strong> Whosoever exalteth himself</p><p> <strong>B</strong> Shall be abased;</p><p> <strong>B</strong> And he that humbleth himself</p><p><strong>A</strong> Shall be exalted.</p><p><br></p><p>Significantly chiasmus is also frequently found in the Book of Mormon which also ultimately has ancient Hebrew origins. <em>Book of Mormon Chiasmus</em> brings together nearly three hundred extraordinary examples of chiasmus found in this holy scripture.</p><p><br></p><p>This book will be a welcome addition to the library of anyone who loves the Book of Mormon and desires a deeper understanding of its connections to the Hebrew world.</p>
