Book of Poems

Children's poetry. A short book of Poems. The poems contained in this book were written by some of the talented writers from Gonville Primary School Steps Academy in Croydon. The seven children ranged from 8 to 11years. Background I had the fantastic opportunity to run a six week poetry workshop with these gifted writers. We studied structure style and themes and then the children decided how they would like to present their poems. The work presented is partly from some of the sessions held at the school but the children were also committed to further extending and producing some of their poems as a result of homework! Words cannot express how proud I am of the children. It has been a privilege working with them and I sincerely hope that they will continue to love and write poetry. Barbara T. Aimable
