Book of Toons Thrice

<p><span style=color: rgba(0 0 0 1); background-color: rgba(249 249 249 1)>This is the third installment in the</span><em style=color: rgba(0 0 0 1); background-color: rgba(249 249 249 1)> Book of Toons</em><span style=color: rgba(0 0 0 1); background-color: rgba(249 249 249 1)> trilogy. </span></p><p></p><p><span style=color: rgba(0 0 0 1); background-color: rgba(249 249 249 1)>Gary uses traditional methods of drawing starting with pencil and then ink for the basic outline. The cartoon is scanned into a computer where it is colored and shaded and often backlit. For some of the panels a mixed-media technique is used with cartoons and real photos for a unique look in backgrounds and to emphasize certain objects. </span></p><p></p><p><span style=color: rgba(0 0 0 1); background-color: rgba(249 249 249 1)>Since antiquity artists have been experimenting with mixed media and Gary is creating his own personal twist on this art form. This is presented to the viewer before even opening the books with the first book having a photo of earth on the cover and the second book having a photo of the moon.
