When my granddaughter Dhriti arrived in this world tiny and unaware she unknowingly became my teacher.</p><p>In her every stretch and smile in her cries sleep and soft gurgles I began to notice a mirror held up to life itself. There she was learning to breathe swallow drink milk kick hands and legs for exercise cry and wail for communication continuously learn through trial and error and repetition trust express and grow. And here I was rediscovering forgotten truths in the hustle of adulthood: how to live with the present laugh and savour the moment carry no baggage have patience reflect and learn do simple things and enjoy the trust simplicity and unconditional love given by others and in spite of vulnerability not giving up &nbsp;and loving the beauty of simply being.</p><p>It is about the invisible thread that connects the beginning and the twilight of life.
