Born into Conflict and the life of an orphan in Kashmir

Parental death and separation have tremendous effects on the development of mental functioning. The world has made the child a passive victim of conflict experienced trauma death and family disruption deeply and personally. The emerging concept of positive psychology identified by various psychologists in the literature showed transitions between the orphans of the past and the orphans of now by identifying traits that empower them to do well in life instead of what they have experienced and what seems like insurmountable difficulties.
