Bovine microfilariosis: An Epidemiology and Molecular diagnosis

Bovine microfilariosis is a chronic wasting disease of cattle and buffaloes characterized by loss of production debilityMucopurulent discharges from eyes. Microfilaria when transmitted to uncoventional hosts like sheep and goat it may cause devastating lumbar paralysis. Effective diagnosis and control measures not only help diseases control in cattle and buffaloes also helps in control of lumbar paralysis in small ruminants. On of those effective diagnostic approach is Polymerase chain reaction assay.
