Brief introduction to Spanish literature

This textbook provides a brief introduction to Spanish literature from its origins to the present day. The contents correspond to the syllabus of the course Introduction to Spanish Literature at the University of Guyana.The textbook provides overviews of each period biographies of the authors and activities for the analysis of the works. It also contains the literary works included in the course.This book includes the epic poem Cantar de Mio Cid the novels El Lazarillo de Tormes and Don Quijote de la Mancha the poems Mientras por competir con tu cabello and Miré los muros de la patria mía as well as the play La casa de Bernarda Alba.
