In a perfect world Natalie Tripper could get over herself. This isn't a perfect world. Natalie a cancer survivor lives in fear that people blame her for others' deaths. Anyone is a trigger for her guilt: friends strangers even family members. Jamie Owen might be different though- even if Natalie knew her now-deceased sister. Meanwhile rumors of a lost novel by Owen Church acclaimed writer and Natalie's great-great-grandfather begin circulating. Hoping to earn recognition in a family of renowned authors Natalie looks for the book. Jamie offers her help but can Natalie accept it when she's still haunted by her past?
