It was March 2014 when Brodie had his first epileptic seizure. I cannot say I was totally surprised but accepted that we would do our best to live with it. What I didn't know was the journey it kicked off would become increasingly complex and life-threatening for him. As I learned to navigate what living with an epileptic dog meant other serious issues in the shadows soon were revealed. Those tested my faith and resolve in ways I had not expected. Yet Brodie proved to be the brave one. He didn't know he had epilepsy heart trouble and cancer facing him. All he wanted to do was be a happy dog chasing squirrels and living his best life. Through it all Brodie fought back courageously and successfully overcame each challenge. Together we walked a journey that was uncertain at times but with God's grace and guidance our trials became our triumphs.
