Claudette “Claude” Moore a successful editor for an offbeat newspaper has it all. When she suddenly lapses into depression, and her Therapist and Psychiatrist offer nothing to remedy her blues, she decides to try and cure it on her own by going out to the hippest bar in town. Her outing sets in motion more than she expected. Her tryst turns into an adventure that leads Claudette to discover some things about herself and her heritage.. Set in Dallas Texas, Broken Ladder takes a curious approach to “the life”, being of mixed heritage, and remaining true to oneself in the matters of love.
