Broken Minds and Broken Hearts

When an amnesiac whose real name is Capt. James Svensen USN meets Caroline Maureen Cassidy his luck has just made a big step towards help and a possible cure. Miss Cassidy is a psychologist and she champions his cause. But sometimes even the doctor can carry scars and his physical and mental wounds trigger the recollection of her own past. Caroline Cassidy is a remarkable woman. She had the strength to survive her private hell and enough strength to get released from a mental institution after more than a year of repair from her trauma. The help she intended to give the naval aviator was to be basic simple and especially local. But the few leads that she discovers take them across the country by train eventually to Washington State. When James Svensen disappears from her Chicago apartment and months later is traced to his sailboat hidden in the British Columbia fiord country she goes to extreme measures to track him down. Her motives are no longer those of a doctor/patient relationship.
