While this book approaches their experience with a lighter perspective as they navigate the path toward normalcy it never diminishes their exceptional bravery. It is a heartfelt tribute dedicated to the British people and the invaluable lessons they taught us through their inspiring examples of resilience resourcefulness and acceptance of their circumstances amidst unimaginable conditions.</p><p><br></p><p>Should the United States ever face an attack particularly enduring a war as long as Britain did I sincerely hope we can exhibit the same endurance and courage they demonstrated. I hold great admiration for the British people and I express my gratitude for the sterling examples of endurance and loyalty they have shown. Their unwavering spirit fills me with pride knowing that my family roots are intertwined with such a remarkable nation. As Winston Churchill passionately implored them they embraced the motto of Never give up. Never give up. Never give up they remained steadfast never wavering in their resolve.</p>
