Bryson Bison's First Homecoming

Bryson Bisons First Homecoming is a childrens book about a child who attends an HBCU (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) Homecoming with his parents for the first time. For African-Americans HBCUs and their Homecomings are an important celebration of black culture and excellence. This book sheds light on this cultural phenomenon using anthropomorphic animal characters descriptive pictures and playful rhyme. Self-pride community and empowerment are some of the many positive themes on display for young readers.
