As an Italian-American raised in Brooklyn and Queens Dr. Muzio attended parochial and public schools; achieved his master's and doctoral degrees from Columbia University's Teachers College. He served as a councilman and police commissioner in Leonia N.J. where the family lived for 46 years. The father of grown sons he lives in Rockport Massachusetts with his wife Lois also a retired professor.
