Six year old Jon Baker and his 5 year old cousin Brad grew up on a farm in the early 1900s. These mischievous boys find themselves in precarious situations as they explore the world around them. When a buffalo stampede threatens their lives they huddle together in the dust storm thinking they will not survive. Suddenly they realize they are being saved by a huge white buffalo standing guard over them! Thus begins their fascination and longing for a buffalo of their own. When Jons dad makes their wish come true the adventures of having a pet buffalo begin!
