Built to Last a Lifetime: Reeds in the Wilderness

In book one Sarah and Nathan undergo the ordeal of being captured and then rescued. They rehabilitate at the Fort then return home. Upon returning to their home they find a burned-out cabin with only the rock chimney standing. Pa said it would last a lifetime. Sarah Nathan and Pa set out to rebuild the cabin and to put crops into the ground hoping to return to a normal life. That worked well into the fall when an unexpected newcomer becomes part of the family and with all the adventures and misadventures that follow that. Book 2 is full of surprises for the readers as they follow this family in the pioneer days of old Kentucky.
