Bullette and Jessica

This book tells a story of an abandoned female dog which is adopted by a nine-year old tomboy Jessica. Why she named the dog Bullette is a story in itself. Bullette has adventures with many of the animals that live in their woods including snakes possums bats woodchucks and bees. In the house Bullette encounters Jessicas caged guinea pig and her moms burnt cookies and frozen turkey. Jessica and Maria Jessicas best friend play softball on a team coached by Jessicas dad. They also go on family picnics where they play catch and toss a Frisbee which Bullette likes to disrupt. On one picnic Bullette gets deathly ill but is saved by the quick thinking of Jessicas dad. Through all of this Jessica learns to be a responsible person
