Bullying in adolescence and its consequences

The school has historically been a place of harmony peace and knowledge of the student. But nowadays this has changed because the phenomenon of bullying at school is spreading especially during adolescence so it is drawing the attention of many scholars teachers school psychologists and parents who are concerned about the safety and well-being of students at school. Bullying involves several different forms of psychological physical sexual racial harassment and cyber bullying from a more powerful person to a less powerful person. Adolescence is a period of physical psychological and social ripening from childhood to adulthood. Throughout this period adolescents undergo varied changes throughout their lives including psychological and biological changes. Because of these changes adolescents are at risk of showing aggressive behavior problems with family and friends disapproval from others.
