<p><strong>How does a 19-year-old bank teller from Kansas end up in the African bush working as a Professional Hunter ?</strong></p><p>In 2008 with little more than the clothes on his back Adam Parkison set off for a 7000-mile journey to the heart of Africa. What was intended to be a short visit turned into five years of adventure in a little-known country called the Central African Republic. In these short stories the author takes readers on a journey deep in the tropical forest mosaics of the Chinko basin following wounded buffalo outwitting a menacing leopard tracking down rumors of cryptid creatures encountering venomous snakes fleeing from bush fires surviving deadly illnesses and more.  At times brutally honest and self-deprecating these stories paint the picture of a rookie Professional Hunter as he navigates a challenging and dangerous career in the wilds of Africa.</p>
