Kuwait was captured at the same time that Abdullah was preparing to travel to India meet his wife before the delivery of his twin children. Living in the capital city of the conquered country was dreadful. He was compelled to travel through the war-torn city by his employer who hid at an expatriates house to report the conditions of his business outlets in and around the city. At the same time in India Abdullahs pregnant wife was afraid that her childless sister would steal one of her children and fly to the UAE with the support of her matriarchal family. She craved Abdullahs presence to protect her and her children. When she heard of Kuwaits invasion and capture by Iraq her blood pressure shot up and she had to be hospitalized.
