Sad. Lost. Unmotivated. Three emotions that sum up small town girl Kallie Wells. Feeling defeated in life Kallie is not looking forward to the arriving school year her junior year. But when the first day of school arrives Kallie learns about majestic Masin Baines who has just moved to town. Masin completely adds thrill to Kallies unexciting life. Finally Kallie starts to feel happy and okay again. Her fathers death starts to not always be on her mind like it used to be. Day by day she learns more about Masin and soon starts to realize that there is something different about him---very different. Kallie is determined to find out what. Kallie digs into Masin and his past. Theres something off about him and his family. But what? Kallie cant quite put her finger on it.
