Cabin in the Pines

Living in the South during the post Depression era Trudy Burton escapes her abusive parents by finding joy outside the home. Her love for the outdoors labels her a tomboy.</p>A sequence of tragedies with family and friends causes Trudy to run. Thinking she is cursed Trudy hops a train to begin a new life. Working her way across several states Trudy works as a veterinary assistant and a farm hand. She meets someone who helps her realize that her past is always with her.</p>In a small cabin in the pines Trudy has a near death experience.
