Cactus: Life Story and Fate With an Unexpected Twist

Cactus is a love story set against the backdrop of a war-torn Middle East. Two young architecture students one Muslim and one Christian find love and choose to spend their lives together. Theirs is a union that survives impossible odds. He is a Muslim man dedicated to and responsible for his mother and sisters in a family that has been utterly devastated by ongoing war in and around his home country; she comes from a family of devout Christians who do not want their daughter to marry outside of her faith. Despite the odds their love grows and eventually leads them to a comfortable life in Canada. And then the unexpected happens shattering the family...
