Calamity Dane & Co. will appeal to adults and children alike. This is a true story of a Great Dane and her family which starts in Germany where Ede had been working training racehorses. When their children were very small Ede and her husband decide to return to England fearing that life might be too tough for the children to live with two languages. Jaba soon became a much loved family member and settled in with her whacky ways. Ede tells of hard times good times and the fun times - hoping her story will amuse people but also encourage women who are in violent and abusive relationships to seek a better future.
