Two urban road networks (Arterial and Ring Road) models were calibrated microscopically and mesoscopically. The model was developed using microsimulation software VISSIM 9. Only the car following parameters was adjusted for the microscopic simulation. Wiedemann 99 car following model was used to calibrate the Mittlerer ring (Freeway). The model has 10 adjustable parameters (CC0 CC1 … CC9). Wiedemann 74 car following model was used to calibrate the arterial road (urban Motorized). Mesoscopic simulation parameters are Reaction Time Standstill Distance and Maximum Waiting Time. Arterial Network: The volume in the network were sensitive to changes in Wiedermann 74 car following model parameters. The travel time was not sensitive to the parameter changes. The volume in the network and travel times were both sensitive to changes in mesoscopic parameters. Mittlerer Ring: The volume in the network were sensitive to changes in Wiedermann 99 car following model parameters. The travel time was not sensitive to the parameter changes. The volume in the network was not sensitive to changes in mesoscopic parameters. However the travel time was sensitive to the parameter changes.
