Camus' Existentialism and the Value of Human Life in Yoruba Culture

The ideas presented in this book highlight a very deep sense of human existence in the light of various existential obstacles encountered by man. Analysis is carried out on two fronts; the Camusian perspective which embraces absurdism and atheism as well as the Yoruba cultural and historical contexts which is predominantly theocentric. Discourse on the concepts of life and death with particular reference to suicide as a damning existential obstacle is contained in this book.
