Can We Get Them to the Fight? Intratheater Airlift Requirements Necessary for Army Transformation to Succeed

<p>There have been previous studies that evaluate the strategic intertheater airlift needs of the United States but few recent studies have concentrated on the tactical intratheater airlift requirements. This research paper explores that requirement specifically as it relates to fulfilling the emerging requirements necessary for the transformation efforts of the U.S. Army to be successful. The Army is currently pursuing the most comprehensive transformation of its forces since the beginning of World War II a program whose entire construct hinges on the joint transformation of intratheater airlift by the Air Force to succeed.</p><p>This work has been selected by scholars as being culturally important and is part of the knowledge base of civilization as we know it.
