Canasta : A beginner's guide

With so many different variations of canasta you are sure to find one that suits you and your family or group. Dont be afraid of starting a game even if you have never played before. Also this is a great game for children and it really does not take long for them to learn the basics. Try starting with a three-deck game to learn the basics. Then you can work up to regular Canasta and American Canasta. Try out some of the variations like Hand and Foot when you have learned the basics. Or delve into Bolivia Oklahoma or Joker Canasta depending on your mood. Try playing with two players or three players without the use of teams.
