Cannibalism... Why not?

About The Book

This book aims at challenging modern society''s view upon the practice of cannibalism. The book provides historical insight concerning different tribes'' reasons for cannibalistic practices and shows how cannibalism has even been common practice in Europe all the way up to the 19th century. By using philosophy theories of ethics and morals by Immanual Kant Plato Jeremy Bentham and John Stuart Mill this project aims at showing the reader a new perspective on cannibalism. In doing so this book is intended to make the reader aware of the historical background of cannibalism and provide new insights as to the morality or ethical reasoning in terms of eating another human being.
