ABOUT THE BOOK The book is entitled ‘Care Ethics Parenting Style and Adolescents’. Adolescence can be defined as the intermediary stage of development between childhood and adulthood. It is the time when adolescent faces many problems and parents can help them to overcome the situation in the most suitable way. Because home is the first school and the parent is the first teacher for a child. So parenting prototype is very important for the all-round development of a child. Parent-child relationship is the most beautiful relationship in the world. From childhood a child is always attached to their parents. So it is the ethics of care that can guide a parent on how to make a healthy relationship with their children. Sometimes it is seen that improper parental control and domestic conflicts may create emotional and psychological problems among the children. This book may focus on all the problems faced by adolescents and their perception of their parents’ parenting style how parents can understand the meaning of ethics of care and also how parents follow parenting style in practical life etc. The purpose of the book is to highlight the problems of the present society related to adolescents the parenting style of parents and how to solve them. I hope this book will help learners to understand the problems of adolescents and find a way to minimise them. 1st Author:- Abira choudhury has done her post-graduation in philosophy from Assam University Silchar and then also completed her M.Phil and PhD from the same university. She is working as an Assistant Professor and Head in the department of Philosophy Satya Ranjan College Kalain Cachar Assam. She has published many articles and books so far 2ND AUTHOR: Remith George Carri MSc (Chemistry) MA (Sociology) MEd PhD (Education) Remith George Carri is an Associate Professor of the Department of Education Assam University Silchar. He has been associated with this university since 2009. He has completed his doctoral research (UGC-JRF) on the quality of teacher education from RIE (NCERT) Mysore. Having specialisations in teacher education science education and environmental education his research focuses on enhancing the quality of school education and teacher education in the North-East India. More than seven candidates have completed their doctoral research under his supervision. He teaches academic writing and research ethics to the doctoral students along with his teaching responsibilities related to science and environmental education at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Dr Carri has published over 20 journal articles and 10 book chapters and has served as a resource person in more than 50 seminars and workshops. He is an active member of the Research Advisory Committees and academic boards of several allied departments of the university.
