Caribbean Spanish in the Metropolis

This study focuses on first- and second-generation Cubans, Dominicans and Puerto Ricans living in the New York City area. In particular, the author creates a sociolinguistic profile of these cohorts and evaluates their attitudes towards Spanish and English, their use of these languages and their linguistic skills based on generation and ethnic factors. <p>1.
