Carica papaya extracts and their antidiabetic efficacy

The book is about testing the efficacy of aqueous leaf extract and dried latex extracts of Carica pappaya linn. in diabetes and their antihyperlipidemic properties. Herbal remedies for diabetes are known since ancient times in different societies. Indian traditional health care system uses a number of medicinal plants traditionally over 1000 years. India is the largest producer of medicinal herbs and is called the botanical garden of the world. This study evaluate various biochemical properties and histopathological sections and confirm that aqueous leaf extract ha better antidiabetic properties than dried latex of carica pappaya linn.
