Case studies of Vietnamese tertiary students��� learning in Australia

The book examines experiences and perception of Vietnamese students when they are required to shift from Vietnam to Australia to study. The literature review indicates that adapting to a new cultural and educational environment is challenging for international students especially for Vietnamese students who come from a collectivist society. The results demonstrated that given the appropriate support as they were in this university Vietnamese students are able to learn independently and they were able to adapt quickly during their studies in Australia. They have the potential to do so in Vietnam if they are more adequately and sufficiently supported.
