Casey and Henry

This story is about two 13 year old boys who begin to realize that they are different; homosexual. It's not about carnal desire but emotions denial surrender parents friends classmates and relatives. In his debut novel Red Silk utilizes a unique style to bring his characters to life to take us along in a story of daily and unexpected events. Sometimes humorous sometimes romantic sometimes confronting but always true to life. A working class boy changes school. He's tutored by an upper class classmate. It's love at first sight but it's far from easy to admit it as they differ in so many ways and to give in to homosexual feelings just like that is plainly out of bounds. Yet as time goes by events occur that bring the boys together. And although their happiness seems to have no limits other people are far from enchanted. Will their relationship stand the storms of prejudice and criticism?
