<p>Morrissey Jarrett is fresh out of prison and back on the streets of his hometown Cardiff.</p><p><br></p><p>During his enforced absence the city has been re-developed to within an inch of its life and a disoriented Morrissey falls back into old habits as he scams schemes and steals whatever he needs to survive.</p><p><br></p><p>Morrissey has big dreams though. With all their eyes fixed steadily on a payday that could change their stars forever - all they have to do is keep their heads down play it cool and follow the plan to the letter. </p><p><br></p><p>What could possibly go wrong?</p><p><br></p><p><em>Cash Rules Everything Around Me</em> is an a masterclass of character invention dialogue and plotting which isn't too surprising when you consider Rob Gittins is an award-winning screenwriter who has written for numerous top-rated UK television drama series including <em>EastEnders</em> (where he's the longest serving scriptwriter with over 300 episodes to his credit) as well as <em>Casualty</em> and <em>The Bill</em>. He has also written over twenty original radio plays for BBC Radio 4 and his drama series <em>Losing Paradise</em> won the Gold Drama Medal at the <em>New York International Radio Festival</em>.</p><p>He was Executive Producer on <em>Crash</em> a drama series for BBC Wales and he was also Script Executive and writer on <em>Stella</em> created by and featuring Ruth Jones (<em>Gavin & Stacey</em>). Rob's work in TV and radio drama has been watched and listened to by millions in the UK & abroad somehow he has also found the time to publish 5 novels.</p>
